Dressed for the Storm

To quote the great author Snoopy “It was a dark and stormy night” well OK it wasn’t, but a storm was building and I was off for a night out. Naturally I was a bit wary about what the weather might do, though I didn’t have far to go from the car there was still the potential to get very wet! Especially given the ferocity of the rain a little further west.

I’d already made the decision to wear this dress come what may. But with rain expected, instead of suede booties or cute shoes I decided on these tan knee high boots. The boots were a steal as I picked them up in the New Look sale for £5. Finally I thought it best to wear a jacket, even though it was at little too warm for it, just in case.

It turned out to be a lovely warm and dry evening in the end. We didn’t win anything in the quiz but it’s not a serious one! Competitive pub quizzes are not as enjoyable.

As for the storm, it eventually turned up just after I’d arrived back home. It was quite impressive by the standards of this area too, with lots of lightning for a good hour or so. It really lit up the sky!
