As you may already know as well as trying to look fabulous I also like to travel to fabulous places.
All of my plans for 2015 so far are based around German Gothic music festivals (because Goth is for life not just for Whitby!). I love that with the city based events you can be a tourist by day and party by night!
Leipzig & Berlin
In May I will be making my annual trip to the Wave Gotik Treffen in Leipzig. WGT is my favourite festival as while it’s huge in scale, it uses many smaller venues across the city so has a very intimate feeling at the same time. Leipzig is also one of my favorite cities with the centre being full of interesting shops tucked up narrow passages.
Before Leipzig our group is having a couple of nights in Berlin so that we can have a proper visit rather then just going straight from plane to train. Berlin is a city with a lot of history and while we are not going to be able to fit everything in, it will be good to give the city the attention it deserves.

A new city and festival for me. Cologne is home to the Amphi Festival weekend at the Lanxess Arena. Given it’s proximity to the city centre, I’ll be trying to fit in some sights between bands, possibly a trip to the top of the cathedral or a walk along the Rhine? And my favourite band (VNV Nation) are playing!
This is the only trip where I won’t get to see anything of the city. Hildesheim is home to M’era Luna, the biggest Gothic festival in the world by attendance with 30,000 tickets sold. Unlike the other festivals I attend it’s a more traditional open air event with everything situated on the towns airfield. It’s far more civilised then similar events in the UK, I certainly wouldn’t risk camping at a UK event!
I may try and fit in a couple more trips if I have any money left over! I would love to revisit Switzerland and would quite like to visit Scandinavia at some point.
